LSG's Pant Struggles Despite Record Price Tag

LSG captain Rishabh Pant continues to face questions over his inconsistent form despite being bought for a record Rs 27 crore in IPL 2026. The wicketkeeper-batter has scored only 189 runs in eight matches.

LSG bowling coach Bharat Arun dismissed suggestions that Pant's expensive price tag has affected his mental approach, stating 'it's just a question of one innings away from getting back his form.' Pant, who began the season opening before shifting to the middle order, had a disappointing IPL 2025 with 269 runs in 14 matches at an average of 24.45.

Arun also provided updates on key bowlers, confirming tearaway pacer Mayank Yadav is fully fit and ready to perform.
