Football Bodies Welcome FIFA World Cup Plan Withdrawal

Football Australia and the Asian Football Confederation have welcomed FIFA's climbdown on its failed plan to sell World Cup assets to private investors.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino confirmed the controversial Fifa Forward Enterprise proposal had been scrapped following widespread backlash. The move came after Uefa threatened a boycott of all FIFA tournaments unless the plan was withdrawn.
